Our First Meet - A Love Written by Grace

Our story is one written by grace, woven together by faith, and strengthened by love. On a quiet Sunday, August 16, 2020, love quietly whispered across oceans—from Abuja, Nigeria to Columbus, Ohio. Neither of us expected it, but God’s timing is always perfect. During the COVID pandemic, when the world slowed down, we found the perfect space to silence the noise and fall in love. What started as a simple swipe to the right quickly became a connection that felt divine.

Across Oceans, Into Our Hearts

With the world at a distance, WhatsApp and FaceTime became our favorite date spots. Our very first “date” lasted nearly four hours, each of us sitting in a restaurant in our own city, smiling like teenagers in love. Across continents, we shared stories, exchanged sweet nothings, and laughed until the waiters kept asking, “Are you ready for the check?” But we couldn’t stop—the next story was always better than the last, and our hearts grew fonder with every word. We knew we were onto something special.

From Clicks to Covenant

What began as a light-hearted conversation quickly grew into something deeper, something divine. From the very start, everything between us felt intentional, joyful, and full of peace. We moved from strangers to soulmates—praying together, laughing endlessly, and building dreams across screens—until the rest, as they say, became history. One of the first things we bonded over was our shared love for technology. As two proud computer geeks, we could talk for hours about the future and all its possibilities.
